Willie was born in Newport Beach, California, and attended his high school in Huntington Beach, Edison High School.
He stepped into the career by taking a baby step by appearing in Gunsmoke as a baby actor. Later on, he appeared in The Wonderful World of Disney, Adam-12, and The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.
In 1971, he performed in the ABC television series, “The Odd Couple”, in the role of Leonard Unger as the son of Felix Unger, later on, Leif Garrett took his place.
Aames has also played the voice role in the animated series, “Wait till your Father gets Home” as Jamie Boyle.
In the late 1970s, he appeared as a guest star in various television series, including “The Walton”. In 1977, he worked in the comedy-drama “Eight is Enough”, as Tommy Bradford.
Simultaneously, he was part of a musical band “Willie Aames & Paradise” as the main singer and guitarist. After a constant struggle, he appeared as the main character in his first movie Scavenger Hunt.
