Career History
Willie was born in Newport Beach, California and attended his high school in Huntington Beach, Edison High School. He stepped into the career by taking a baby step by appearing in the Gunsmoke as a baby actor. Later on, he appeared in The Wonderful World of Disney, Adam-12, and The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.
In 1971, he performed in ABC television series, “The Odd Couple”, in the role Leonard Unger as the son of Felix Unger, later on, Leif Garrett took his place. Aames has also played the voice role in the animated series, “Wait till your Father gets Home” as Jamie Boyle.
In the late 1970s, he appeared as a guest star in various television series, including “The Walton”. In 1977, he worked in the comedy-drama “Eight is Enough”, as Tommy Bradford. Simultaneously, he was part of a musical band “Willie Aames & Paradise” as the main singer and guitarist. After a constant struggle, he appeared as the main character in his first movie Scavenger Hunt. In 1981, after ending the series, he appeared in more movies including “Zapped”, “Paradise” and so on.
He worked in ABC soap opera The Edge of Night, as Robbie Hamlin, in 1984. In the cartoon series Dungeons & Dragons, he voiced for 2 years (1983 to 1985), as Hank and at the ending of 1990, he hosted the game show “The Krypton Factor”.
Personal Life
Aames has been married for three times, in 1979, he married Vicki Weatherman and had a baby boy from her, named as Christopher. In 1986, he married Maylo McCaslin, giving birth to a baby girl with her, Harleigh Jean. He is currently committed to Winnie Hung.
